The Reverend Dr. Jerry Young, the first Mississippi pastor chosen as President of the National Baptist Convention USA, was honored by the Mississippi Senate.

The Reverend Dr. Jerry Young, Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Jackson, (7th from left), the first Mississippi pastor chosen as President of the National Baptist Convention USA, was honored by the Mississippi Senate on Tuesday, February 3, 2105, with presentation of Senate Concurrent Resolution 529 that commemorated the historic occasion.
