Delta State President addressed the Mississippi Senate.
Delta State University President William LaForge (far right) addressed the Mississippi Senate on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 while in attendance of the university’s Student Legislative Day at the Capitol. Accompanied at the podium by (as pictured from left to right) Senators Derrick Simmons, Willie Simmons, and Buck Clarke, President LaForge spoke to the body about the important work of his institution in the education of Mississippi’s next generations of leaders and professionals. LaForge, who assumed his current post in November of 2013 after a long and distinguished public service career, was inaugurated as the eighth president of Delta State in November of 2013.
