Delta State University students left their Cleveland campus to visit the state Capitol in Jackson on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in order to participate in Delta State’s 2014 Student Legislative Day. Among those students present at the event were (as pictured from left to right, beginning at second from left) Mikel Sykes, Mollie Evans, Magnolia Gatlin, Hannah Goudy, Allie Rose Parker, Faith Mapp, Meaghan Vogelsang, and Mitchell McNear. These students and student leaders were greeted on the floor of the state senate by Senators Michael Watson (far left), David Parker (fifth from right), Phillip Gandy (second from right), and Tony Smith (far right).
